Margareta Nordin
Margareta Nordin, Dr. Med. Sci., PT, Research Professor, Departments of Orthopedic Surgery and Environmental Medicine, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, New York University, New York, NY, USA, has authored 5 books and >250 peer-reviewed papers, participated in seven international-based task forces on spine pain and received multiple awards.
She was the first woman to serve as President of ISSLS and EUROSPINE, and the founding President of World Spine Care Europe, as well as Vice President of World Spine Care.
Dr. Nordin was an adjunct professor at multiple universities. She was co-principal investigator for the Global Spine Care Initiative initiated by World Spine Care. She is a member of the WHO Package of Rehabilitation Interventions for low back pain (2020-2021) and a speaker for SPINE20.
Her primary interest was in the prevention of disability in spine and musculoskeletal disorders with a focus on evidence, cultural implementation, adaptation, and acceptance.
