Scott Haldeman, founder, and president of World Spine Care, participated in a webinar hosted by SpineIQ. He discussed the challenges and changes in healthcare due to the coronavirus pandemic, the guides developed for clinicians and patients to manage back and neck pain from a distance, and the future of telehealth in spine care.
A new paper from World Spine Care and the Global Spine Care Initiative was recently published in the journal JMIR Public Health and Surveillance. The article describes the process that the authors underwent to develop the guides for Managing Neck and Back Pain in the Time of COVID-19 released last year. The guides help empower patients to self-manage spine pain when appropriate.
