Social Media Coordinator (Remote)

World Spine Care is looking for a social media coordinator to help raise awareness, promote volunteer opportunities, and raise funds for our charitable programs.

The candidate will manage World Spine Care’s social media presence and content under the supervision of the Director of Communications. This includes but is not limited to

  • creating, scheduling, and monitoring social media content;

  • responding to comments, and

  • engaging with followers.

They will also work with the nonprofit's staff to ensure all activities are consistent with the organization's mission and brand.

This is a part-time, independent contractor position. Interested students are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

As this is a remote position, candidates will need reliable access to a computer and broadband internet. Other requirements include:

  • Competency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).

  • Previous experience managing organizational social media accounts is preferred.

  • Familiarity with a web-based CMS (we use SquareSpace).

  • Digital design skills (photo editing, video editing, page layout, etc.) and healthcare knowledge are a plus.

World Spine Care will provide a Google Workspace account with access to Canva Pro for Nonprofits and project management software.

Hours of Work

Up to 10 hours/week, flexible schedule, occasional nights & weekends may be required.

Compensation

The expected rate is approximately $20–30 per hour, depending on skill and experience.

World Spine Care comprises four not-for-profit, registered charities: World Spine Care (WSC), World Spine Care Canada (WSCC), World Spine Care Europe (WSC Europe), World Spine Care Africa (WSCA), and the World Spine Care Botswana Trust.
