World Spine Care established their newest clinic as part of the Global Spine Care Initiative Model of Care implementation study based in Pimicikamak (Cross Lake), Treaty 5, Manitoba.
In partnership with the leadership of the Pimicikamak Band and with funding from Health Canada, the Canadian Chiropractic Association, and the Canadian Chiropractic Research Fund, the clinic offers treatment for back and neck pain to members of the community for no fee.

Dr. Jennifer Ward
Dr. Jennifer Ward is an Indigenous chiropractor from Natoaganeg, NB, working in the Opaskwayak Cree Nation, and a Ph.D. student at the University of Manitoba. She grew up in the Mi’Kmaq First Nation community and understands the challenges faced by Indigenous communities, which include poor health outcomes, barriers to care, and systemic racism.
Dr. Ward’s mission is to bring better musculoskeletal care to marginalized, underserviced communities in northern Canada, and is working with researchers at World Spine Care and the Global Spine Initiative to advance this goal.

Dr. Jordan Myers
Dr. Myers brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Cross Lake clinic. With over 5 years of experience as a chiropractor, he deeply understands the importance of spinal health and its impact on overall well-being. He is also passionate about working with underserved communities and is committed to making a positive impact through his work.
